Forefront – Powered by 100 Coaches

Forefront is an annual cohort of the next generation of leaders in coaching, leadership, and talent development. Powered by 100Coaches, Forefront aims to nurture and develop the aspirations of this group through mentorship, training, insight, and community.


Those looking to apply should have:

  • Three years minimum work experience as a coach and/or talent development professional

  • A strong point of view in how their work will impact the world and greater social good

  • Desire to connect with other cohort members to both learn from and to support

  • Time available to commit fully to the program - including mentorship, masterclasses, and a live event

Application Process:

There will be 3 stages to the selection process for Forefront 2022 with selection criteria at each stage narrowing the pool of candidates. The application and review process will end in April 2022, with participants selected and beginning the program in May. The application stages include:

  • Application Review

    • Please answer the survey questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. We want to understand your unique view on the world.

  • Portfolio Submission

    • Feel free to be creative with the format of your portfolio, but it must highlight/showcase your record of impact. Examples may include:

      • Website with testimonials

      • Deck (no more than 10 slides)

      • Video (no longer than 6 minutes)

      • Excerpts from written work/publications (no more than 5 pages)

  • Interviews

    • Two 20-minute interviews with members of our review committee

    • Come prepared to show up your very best, sharing your experiences as well as what you hope to accomplish in the program and beyond.


The Program

The specifics of the program will be tailored to the cohort’s needs and desires, but each year can expect a combination of the below:

  • 2x monthly calls to share goals, progress and challenges

  • Monthly call with your mentor from the 100Coaches community

  • Small group meetings with Marshall Goldsmith

  • 2-3 Mastermind classes on topics most relevant to the cohort

  • A live event to celebrate the conclusion of the program


  • When will I know if I’ve been accepted?

    • All who apply will go through a rigorous review and announcements will be made in April of 2022

  • When does the program start?

    • May 2022

  • How long is the program?

    • The 2022 cohort will launch in May of 2022 and conclude Q1 of 2023.

  • Can I choose my mentor?

    • Once we know who the cohort is, we will look at your areas of expertise, where you are looking to improve and assign a volunteer mentor from 100Coaches who will be a good fit. Unfortunately not all 100Coaches will be available for mentorship.

  • What do I need to do to apply?

    • The process will require an investment of time and thought, particularly in the creation of your portfolio.

  • How much does it cost? Is there an application fee?

    • There is no cost to apply or join the program. Participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses for the live event at the conclusion of the program.

  • I’m not a coach (but want to be one), can I still apply?

    • Everyone is welcome to apply, but note that we are seeking those with a record of impact from their work in coaching or talent development. You don’t need to be a certified coach, but if you don’t currently work in these fields or have references who can speak to your impact in their leadership/talent development, it may be worth applying for a later cohort.

  • How much time will be required?

    • There will be monthly commitments for various meetings - checking in on goals, meeting with mentors, as well as some masterclasses. We will also end the year with a live event to celebrate the efforts of the cohort.
